After a short break in 2016, Penryn Arts Festival is back celebrating the creative spirit that lives in Penryn’s community and the artisanal skills that are flourishing in the town and the wider area. To reflect this we are taking a new approach and instead of the usual 3 day festival there will be a programme of events, workshop and screenings in across Penryn from October – December.

Each event will explore a different aspect of making and craftsmanship: revaluing haptic reasoning, local historical connotations and connections to making, as well as the subversion of ancient methods and traditions through contemporary art.

This years festival is run by Field Notes; which is the collaborative practice of Cornwall based curators and producers, Cat Bagg and Rosie Thomson-Glover.
